Growing up with a Chinese mom born in Colombia, I was lucky that my immigrant family continued the tradition of Chinese New Year. Who doesn’t love the Chinese superstitions, orange fruit filled tables, red envelops and everyone wishing you “gong hay fat chow” which literally means hope you get rich.
